HEALTH PLAN TRANSPARENCY REQUIREMENTS
Public Disclosure of Pricing Information

The legislation creating Transparency in Coverage (TiC) rules require health plans to supply public pricing disclosures in sets of machine-readable files (MRFs).

All health plan carriers and TPA links will contain:

• The rates negotiated between the plan/issuer and in-network providers for all covered items and services
• Data showing the historical payments to and billed charges from out-of-network providers
